Overview

TwoIgnite is a national marriage experiment that was founded on the idea of adventure.  There are 12 key topics (igniters) covered over the course of a year.  Each igniter contains it’s own logo, documents & media content.  The concept involves providing this media package to each church or organization that wishes to follow the TwoIgnite curriculum and reengage married couples.

The idea began with best-selling authors and speakers Gary Smalley & Ted Cunningham, Mark Connelly (Lead Pastor of Mission Community Church), and several other collaborators.

The Challenge

Our biggest goal was to create a sense of community online for this marriage movement.  Multiple churches and people are involved.  We had to create a strategy that included everyone into one seamless site.  Additionally, multiple audio & video files would be made available for each igniter to share on the site and we had to be sure we created a process to maintain and update the multiple podcasts and media content.

The client approached us after the first attempt at the site proved too costly to maintain and worked off a very limited content management system.  The previous site also did not engage the user with social media.

The Solution

First, we made sure that the content management platform was solid, flexible and robust.  We wanted to empower our client to maintain nearly every aspect of the site with little-to-no web experience.  Second, we recognized the need for a social media strategy and integrated Facebook, Flickr & Twitter directly into the website.  Data was dynamically pulled from social media sites onto the website without any additional work from the client thereby allowing the community to keep parts of the site fresh.  Finally, thru our content management system we enabled our client to post audio, video and documents onto the website for each igniter.  The media was then exported automatically to an iTunes podcast.

The Result

The TwoIgnite movement continues to grow as more churches and organizations see its success and have easy access to download media packages.  The Facebook community has grown by 200% followed by increased Twitter and Flicker subscribers.
