Overview
Established in September of 2005, Hill Country Bible Church UT’s purpose is to strategically reach over 65,000 people at the University of Texas with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hill Country Bible Church UT approached us to rethink the web strategy and incorporate media & social media components.
The Challenge
University of Texas at Austin is surrounded by an eclectic arts, music and fashion culture. The students and people respond to creativity in a unique way and we wanted to capture the unique culture in an engaging design that would also offer online donations, blogs, streaming media, events with rsvp and an integrated social media component. And we needed to incorporate this same strategy into a seamless mobile environment on the iPhone.
The Solution

We took design cues from local shops and artists and incorporated them throughout the site. Using our content management system we were able to integrate secure online giving and account management, events with rsvp / payment, blogs, sermon audio & video, and page management into one streamlined environment.
We then integrated Facebook, Twitter & Flicker social media elements throughout the site along with a commenting system to help users easily engage with the content and each other.
The Result
The church continues to experience growth in numbers, giving, event participation, web usage and online engagement. The culture has embraced the new website and staff have been empowered to manage content, post blogs and easily update media without any knowledge of HTML!
